Rules

In order to participate in this exciting event you must satisfy the criteria and abide by the rules of the organiser of the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg as detailed below :

 

Age limit

 

The Verbier High Five by Carlsberg is reserved for persons aged 18 or over, except by  invitation.

 

 

 

Equipment

 

Wearing the helmet is mandatory for all events. Competition ski suits are strictly prohibited. Any participant taking the start with unauthorised equipment will be disqualified. The organizer reserves the right to accept or reject any type of snow sliding equipment other than skis at its sole discretion.

 

 

 

Restrictions on the number of competitors

 

The maximum number of competitors is 320, including 224 men and 96 ladies. Valid bookings will be processed in chronological order. Receipt of your booking will be acknowledged by the organiser (the booking will not be valid until payment has been made).

 

 

 

Categories

 

Men’s and women’s pro categories, and men’s and women’s amateur categories

 

 

 

Registration

 

CHF 50 excluding ski pass, CHF 90 including ski pass, CHF 170 for the VIP package. Registration online before 12pm on Friday 5 April 2019. It will also be possible to register on site at Médran from 4pm to 7pm on Friday 5 April 2019.

Start numbers

 

All competitors will be given a number bib and a schedule of the different events. Failure to respect the scheduled times will result in participants’ direct elimination from the event concerned.

Reconnaissance

 

A reconnaissance of the giant slalom can be made on the day itself from 7.40am to 8.15am.

Results / Distribution of points

 

To be in the general classification, participation in the 4 disciplines (Giant Slalom, Mini KL, Ski Cross and Waterslide) is mandatory. In each discipline, 1000 points are awarded to 1st place, 998 to 2nd, 996 to 3rd, and so on. The 4 top women and the 4 top men in the general classification will qualify for the finals.
These finals will take place on the Ski Cross route, and the first 2 to arrive will qualify for the continuation.

 

Cancellation / Postponement

 

Verbier High Five by Carlsberg reserves the right to postpone the date, cancel the event or reduce the programme, if necessary. In case of full cancellation before the start of the event, the registration fee shall be refunded. No refund will be made in case of partial cancellation.

 

Instructions by the organiser

 

Participants must strictly adhere to the orders and instructions given by the organiser.
The organiser reserves the right to exclude all participants who fail to comply with such orders and instructions or whose inappropriate behaviour poses a risk to or disturbs other participants, spectators or members of the organisation.

 

 

 

Liability

 

Participation in the ski or snowboard events includes risks of falling or accidents. All participants in the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg must accept these risks and acknowledge that they participate under their full responsibility. They shall also be liable for any damage they may cause to other competitors. The organiser and its employees or assistants within the organisation disclaim all responsibility in case of accident or damage.

 

 

 

Photo coverage

 

All participants expressly waive their right to their image during the Verbier High Five by Carlsberg. They also waive any recourse against the organiser and its authorised partners for the use made of their image.

Jurisdiction

 

Any disputes between the participants and the organiser and/or persons, employees or assistants of the organiser in connection with or resulting from the event shall be exclusively settled before the competent courts at the site of the head office of the organiser (Verbier VS).
